28 July | Pride Film Screenings: Portrait of a Lady on Fire

28 July | Begin Pride Week at Fotografiska with a three-night cinema series celebrating queer perspectives.

Offered languages: English

Overview

Curated by Jonas Pedersen Hardebrant in collaboration with Filmklubben, our Pride programme presents one acclaimed film each evening, inviting reflection on identity, love and belonging through the art of cinema.

Tonight's screening is Céline Sciamma's celebrated masterpiece Portrait of a Lady on Fire. Set on a remote island in eighteenth-century France, the film follows the growing bond between a painter and her reluctant subject. Exquisitely composed and emotionally resonant, it is a luminous meditation on desire, memory and the transformative power of seeing and being seen.

The screening will take place in Ellen, our unique event space on the ground floor, open to the public for this special occasion. Please enter via Fotografiska's event entrance.
