About Alexander Brott Trio

Alexander Brott is a Swedish/Canadian jazz guitarist and composer active between Europe and New York, where he plays with several of the city's leading jazz musicians. Acknowledged as a virtuoso with a deep foundation in the jazz tradition of the 40s and 50s, he writes music that has been described as both timeless and original.

His quartet consists of some of New York's most authentic voices on the contemporary bebop scene, musicians with a background in legends such as Barry Harris and Lou Donaldson. The group has released two critically acclaimed albums, The Aesthetic Attitude and Leon's Lullaby, which have also led to awards from STIM and the Albin Hagström Memorial Foundation, among others.
